Where are your products made?

All of our products are designed,  manufactured and tested in our factory in Wangara, WA by our highly skilled and trained employees; using locally sourced, high quality materials.

How much experience do you have?

ABS have been designing, manufacturing and installing balustrade to the WA market since 1995. Managed by two partners, Les Cowley & John Timms, who have over 30 years experience in balustrading and pool fencing on both residential and commercial projects. Our reputation for quality, innovation and service has led to ABS becoming leaders in the balustrading industry, with some of Perth’s best builders regularly doing business with us.

Where in my home am I legally required to have balustrading?

The Building Code of Australia (BCA) Volume 2 Part 3.9.2 specifies that:

“A continuous balustrade or other barrier must be provided along the side of any roof to which public access is provided, any stairway or ramp, any floor, corridor, hallway, balcony, verandah, mezzanine, access bridge or the like and along the side of any path of access to a building, if­ it is not bounded by a wall; and, any level is more than 1 m above the surface beneath”

This also applies to all pools and spas, where a pool fence is required. If you are still unsure if this applies to you, contact our office and speak to one of our helpful and knowledgeable team.

Yes, just call into our showroom at 73 Inspiration Drive or call 08 9302 1947 and one of our friendly team will go through our extensive range and help you find a design that suits your home. Do your products come with a warranty?

Yes. We stand by our high quality  products, installation & service. All of our products come with a standard 5 year manufacturer warranty from date of installation and a further installation warranty of 12 months from installation.

How long will the whole process take before I get my product?

Standard turnaround time is about 3-4 weeks. However this can vary seasonally and range from 3-8 weeks. Please call our office on 08 9302 1947 to find out our current lead times.

Do balustrades rust? Are they easy to clean?

All our view safe systems are aluminum, and are non-rusting products. Most products can be easily cleaned with soap and water. Stainless steel needs a lot of maintenance if it is used externally, as it can ‘tea-stain’. See our blog section for details on how to maintain your balustrade.

Are balustrades safe?

All our designs meet and conform to the current and relative BCA  Codes and Safety Standards, therefore, provide maximum safety for your stair/balcony/pool.

Do you install at weekends or after hours?

We offer flexible installation arrangements as required.

How do I pay for my product(s)?

All orders (except clients with a credit account) require a 40% deposit, with balance to be paid on completion.
We offer the following flexible payment options;  

Direct Deposit

  • Paying an Invoice - please include a reference or memo stating the invoice number (eg Inv 11543).
  • Paying a Deposit - please include a reference or memo stating the quote number (eg Quote 1201234).

Please do not forget to send the “Selection Confirmation & Acceptance” form from your quote.
