When it comes to fence infills, privacy screens and gates, Absolute Balustrades have a variety of options to choose from. One option available is the aluminium slat design range. There are 3 designs to choose from-Panaview rectangular slats, Fairview rectangular/elliptical slats or Seeview angled louvres. The design chosen will depend on the application and the client’s preference/requirements. This article explains each product, their features and the differences between them.
Fairview rectangular/elliptical blade is the most versatile of the three designs, as the blade is screwed into the post and therefore can easily be adjusted to different angles and spacing. The two blade options (80mm x 12mm rectangular and 90mm elliptical) mean that Fairview is suitable for all applications and can easily be used as a privacy screen or incorporated into our balustrade system (except on a stair). For larger screens, Fairview is also the best option. The slats can be horizontal or vertical in the Fairview range and are available in a variety of powder coat colours, including woodgrain colours in the elliptical blade.

Panaview rectangular blade is available in 3 different slat sizes (38mm, 65mm and 100mm) and spacings can be adjusted as required. It is also fairly versatile and is most suitable for gates, fence infills and small privacy screens where there is channel fixing on either end. On longer runs, additional costs may occur for extra support posts. Panaview can also have either horizontal or vertical slats; however, it is only suitable for inline blades (blades cannot be angled). Available in a variety of powder coat colours, including woodgrain colours, Panaview is our most popular aluminium slat design.
Seeview is an angled louvre and is the least versatile of the three. It is a pre-punched system, which means there are fixed angles and spacing. Therefore, it does have its limitations and is not suitable for all applications, i.e. not suitable for gates. Seeview is a popular choice, however, for privacy screens, as it is the most cost effective option due to it being easier to install. It can be either designed with its own set of base plates at the bottom of each panel or channel fixed. Seeview also comes in a range of powder coat colours; however, woodgrain colours are not available in this design.
